An Interdisciplinary Experience in Community Planning
The Box City Curriculum teaches how cities are planned, or unplanned; what makes a quality city, and how citizens (yes, kids too!) can participate in the improvement of the built environment. Occupancy permits, role playing name tags, building assignments - all are included and reproducible in this 210-page document. It was used by the Kansas City Missouri School District as a supplementary text; a previous workshop inclusion for the San Antonio Conservation Society, and has been a regular feature for 1500 kids in Dallas at arts festivals.
We have revised, updated and added 40 new pages! A number of accompanying materials are available to help you plan a successful Box City event.
Festival Pack includes 1000 boxes and curriculum, allow three weeks delivery time. 90% recycled materials.
