Hosoda Hiroko, CUBE National Advisory Board

She has been working as the director of the Architecture and Children Network of Sendai that is the non profit organization for design education in Japan. The group coordinates workshops and helps classroom teachers to develop curriculums with the goal for developing creativity, problem-soling and self-learning for children through the process of architecture and urban design.

The workshops reference the American curriculumns, "Architecture and Children", "City Building Education", and "CUBE's Box City and Walk Around the Block". They also produce symposiums and elementary-students exchanges between US and Japan. 45 people join the group, architects, government officers, designers, teachers, professors and students.

Hiroko Hosoda has been working for Sendai city office as an architect since 1968. She is working within the Urban Design Section where she develops walking tours and designs workshops for children and adults.
