The City Planning officers invited their children to participate in the Geoblock City Planning simulation followed by a full redesign of the Overland Park region by using Box City. As the planning office employees and their children role played the re-creation of Overland Park with the facilitation of Richard Wetzel, Director of Business Development for McCown Gordon Construction and longtime friend of CUBE, the group enjoyed quality discussion about the importance of good decision making when looking at the built environment and the citizens of a community. The City of Overland Park intends to host these activites again next year extended the opportunity to more city employees and their children.
