archiCamp 2003

Acting like architects, inventors and problem solvers, the middle school students used the limited materials to solve the design problem. "Learning to think and act like an architect or design professional was fun and challenging," mentioned several participants. The students spent the day learning about the built environment, studying architecture, taking “Walks Around the Block” at 9th Street and on the Country Club Plaza. The students also had the opportunity to create their own cities with CUBE’s BoxCity curricula.

Moms and Dads continue to tell us that an archiCamp experience changes their children: they are not as interested in getting home on the gameboy but rather want to look out the window and discuss what they see. Stay tuned. Summer 2004 archiCamp dates will be announced soon.
