Frances Suazo & Comerville
Comerville is a city built using the priciples of the Comer Development Process, where the presence of natural resources is as important as the existence of supportive bonds among children, parents and community workers to promote a positive living environment.
My goal was to teach my students about community interdependence and the need for collaboration and teamwork. The Box City curriculum was perfect to meet my objectives. The GeoBlock Game served as a model for our city and students planned through discovery and collaborative grouping and created their ideal city.
